EDMONTON - A non-profit corporation created by the Alberta government has announced $46 million for six projects designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The Climate Change and Emissions Management Corp. says the total value of the projects is $327 million.
The companies involved include Cenovus Energy (TSX:CVE), Husky Energy (TSX:HSE), Imperial Oil (TSX:IMO), Inventys Thermal Technology, MEG Energy (TSX:MEG) and N-Solv.
Alberta Environment Minister Diana McQueen says the projects show the province is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The $46 million comes from an account that is funded by companies that produce high levels of carbon dioxide.
