NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. - North Vancouver RCMP believe they have caught a prolific graffiti artist who has spray painted his way across the area more than 90 times.
RCMP say the Crown has approved five charges of mischief against a 16-year-old boy who allegedly tagged his work with the word "stock."
Cpl. Richard De Jong says the boy is accused of spray painting private and public buildings.
He says that while some people may view graffiti as a work of art, it's an act of vandalism.
De Jong says graffiti decreases the sense of safety, lowers community pride and costs taxpayers or business owners money to have removed.
The boy is scheduled to make a court appearance in December.
