While all Thompson-Okanagan drivers will be able to fuel up below the provincial average going into the long weekend, some will have to pay more than others.

According to GasBuddy.com, Vernon had the highest gas prices in cities from Penticton to Kamloops this morning, Nov. 8.

While other gas stations are dropping prices to as low as $116.9 per litre of regular in Penticton, GasBuddy says the best bang for your buck is in Vernon with $129.9 per litre across the board.

Kelowna’s best price comes in at $121.9 at a Husky on Harvey Avenue, while in Kamloops most gas bars are seeing prices at $120.9, Gas Buddy reports.

West Kelowna’s best bet is also 120.9 at a Husky on Ross Road.

According to GasBuddy, the provincial average this morning is $134.2.

The lowest price in B.C. is $109.9 at the Prince George Costco compared to a gas station in Mill Woods, Alta.’s where a litre of regular will set you back 72.9 cents – the cheapest fuel in Canada.
