A Kelowna man’s life changed when he put $3 into a slot machine.
Greg Moroso won $1,485,994 on a Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune slot machine at Chances Casino Kelowna on March 22, according to a BC Lottery Corporation press release issued, April 5.
“Quite frankly, I just wanted to sit down in a nice, comfortable chair for a little bit, so the win was a big plus,” Moroso said in the release. “I said, ‘Holy cow, that’s not possible.’”
The odds of winning the jackpot on a $3 bet are 1-in-25 million.
Moroso called his partner right after the big win.

“She said she went numb when I told her. She was so shocked and it didn’t sink in for her until about 48 hours later,” Moroso said.
The Powerbucks slot machine jackpot grows as players place bets on linked machines at casinos around the country.
Moroso is going to spend his winnings on some Eagles concert tickets in Las Vegas.

“I’m going to get some good seats for the concert,” he said.
He is also planning an early retirement and plans to buy an RV to tour the country.
“This win takes away any worries and will provide a comfortable retirement where I can focus on family,” he said.
