A high temperature of 18.3 C in Kelowna yesterday, March 19, was not enough to maintain a streak of consecutive days of record breaking warmth. That ended on Monday at three.
But Vernon and Merritt marked their fourth straight days breaking records.
Vernon, also at 18.3 C, broke its 1940 record high temperature for the day of 16.7 C.
Merritt reached 20.2 C, breaking its 1928 record of 18.3 C.
Osoyoos broke a record for the third day in a row, reaching 21.8 C. The old record was 18.3 C set in 1960.
Kamloops recorded a high temperature of 18.7 C yesterday, which was not a record. That city broke no records during the warm spell that shattered dozens of records across the province over the past few days.
Penticton reached 17.3 C yesterday, which was not a record.
