A School District 22 trustee candidate who ran unsuccessfully under the conservative Christian slate ParentsVoice has been barred from stepping foot on school district property.

Jewlie Rose Milligan was issued a "no trespass order" last month which prevents her from being on any School District 22 property "whatsoever."

"You have sent threatening and intimidating letters to our staff accusing them of criminal and other unlawful conduct," the order reads. "You have attended at a board meeting and again engaged in intimidating conduct toward our staff via registered mail and delivery at the school board office."

The order also asks her not to write to the school trustees or staff members by mail, text, or email.

The trespass notice issued to Milligan says her communication has been both "factually and legally inaccurate."

The order doesn't go into precise detail about exactly what Milligan did.

School District chair Gen Acton told iNFOnews.ca said she couldn't comment on precise details because the matter is with the district's legal team.

"Our staff need to be safe in the workplace, just as our students need to be safe in their schools," Acton said.

Last fall, Milligan ran for a seat on the school district as part of ParentsVoice B.C.

While ParentsVoice said it stood for transparency, Milligan offered none. She refused iNFOnews.ca an interview at the time and none of the Parentsvoice B.C. candidates bothered to show up at the all-candidates debate.

Of the three Parentsvoice B.C. candidates, which included anti-vax activist Sylvia Herchen along with Nellie Villegas, all lost at the ballot box but iNFOnews.ca has learnt that Villegas and Milligan, along with roughly 20 others, have been regular attendees at monthly school district meetings.

Acton said the group doesn't identify as parents of children at the district's schools and has raised questions about SOGI123 (a sexual orientation and gender identity policy), along with banning books, and false accusations of pornography in schools.

The trespass notice issued to Milligan expires July 31 "at which time it will be reviewed and a consideration given to whether it must be extended," the order reads.

Milligan did not return iNFOnews.ca's call for comment by deadline.
