The concept of an adrenaline super park on Penticton Indian Band land has been revived with the idea of locating it on the site of the former Okanagan Game Farm.

PENTICTON - The plan to build an adrenaline super park in the South Okanagan has been resurrected with a new location.
The Penticton Indian Band's economic development arm K’ul Group previously engaged band members on the idea of a partnership to build an adrenaline super park on band land which failed to pass a referendum.
Initial feedback and engagement by band members found the concept favourable but the preference was for the enterprise to be located on the former Okanagan Game Farm lands near Kaleden, according to band documents. That portion of the reserve continues to have an appropriate land designation, requiring only the assent of the chief and council to approve terms of a lease and for the development to begin.
Avion Developments, K’ul Group and the Penticton Indian Band have revived their potential partnership to build the park, with the intent of locating it on the former game farm lands.
The original concept for the park included a sky chair, walking and nature trails, ziplines, a mountain coaster, a waterpark and a multi-level mountain bike terrain park. The concept also included other amenities such as an amphitheatre, concert stage and bull riding event centre along with an RV Park and tenting facility.
Band communications coordinator Dawn Russell says the K’ul Group and the band will provide details about the project as plans for the park moves forward.
