Four things to do on Mother's Day in Penticton and South Okanagan

Join the crew at the SS Sicamous for their Mother's Day event this weekend or visit one of the many brunch events taking place throughout the South Okanagan on May 12, 2019.

PENTICTON - It’s going to be a summery weekend in Penticton and the South Okanagan, with some perfect weather to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Mother’s Day brunch at the Penticton Lakeside Resort takes place in the East Ballroom overlooking Okanagan Lake with a buffet created by executive chef Chris Remington.

Brunch is served on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mothers get a complimentary mimosa on arrival. The buffet will set you back $29.50 per person, with kids under three free, and children from four to 12 at $2 per year of age.

The Mother’s Day Bubbles ’n Brunch event takes place at Evolve Cellars, 20623 McDougal Rd. in Summerland on Sunday, May 12 at 10:30 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m.

Brunch is a three-course menu paired with Evolve’s collection of sparkling wines.

Cost is $55 per person, plus gratuity and taxes.

The Mother’s Day Tea aboard the SS Sicamous at 1099 Lakeshore Dr. West is a family-oriented event taking place at the SS Sicamous on Sunday, May 12 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

There are limited tickets available at a cost of $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

There will be prizes for best dressed with refreshments in the dining hall or out on the forward deck. You can also stroll the mini market of treats. There will be live entertainment, door prizes and a raffle. For more information you can contact the crew by email at info@sssicamous.ca.

The Mother’s Day event at Time Winery at 361 Martin St. consists of a grazing-style brunch on Sunday, May 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cost of $69 plus gratuity and taxes comes with multiple food and chef attended stations accompanied by Time and McWatters Collection wines. Reservations are required. See the Encore Vineyards website here for more information.
