Five new councillors were elected to the Penticton Indian Band council following an election held yesterday, Jan.30, 2020.

The Penticton Indian Band has some new council members following elections at the band last night.
Band communications coordinator Dawn Russell said in a media release five new councillors were elected in the vote yesterday, Jan. 30, in which the following candidates were elected:

Inez Pierre

Fred Kruger
-
Vivian Lezard
-
Charlene Roberds
-
Carlene George
Band members voted in favour of a byelection in December last year following the resignation of five councillors in 2016.
The new members will hold office until a new election cycle takes place later this year.
