Five Kamloopsians you probably didn't know were making it in show biz

KAMLOOPS - Getting a small spot in Hollywood takes a lot of work, but these former Kamloops residents are proof it can be done. By now, you know of some of the movies filmed here, now check out these five former Kamloops residents who went to Hollywood.

David Leader who was born in Kamloops became a stuntman and has worked on several movies including Brokeback Mountain, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Actor Benjamin Ayres garnered small roles in the movies Good Luck Chuck and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer among others.

Jim Van Dijk left Kamloops to become a camera operator for well-known productions like August: Osage County, I, Robot and X-Men: The Last Stand.

After a few brief film cameos, Fawnia Mondey's photo was featured in several magazines including Flex Magazine, Muscle Magazine and several Playboy magazines. She now works as a pole dancing instructor.

Ramona Seymour is a member of the T'kemlups te Secwepemc band. She grew up in Kamloops, but eventually moved to Los Angeles where she works as an actress. She made appearances on an episode of Desperate Housewives and Star Trek.
