KAMLOOPS – Investigators are looking into the cause of a kitchen fire in Kamloops this morning.
Kamloops Fire Rescue Platoon Capt. Jeff Bell says they were called at about 8:50 a.m. today, Nov. 23, when neighbours saw smoke rising from a home in the 2100 block of Holyrood Circle in Aberdeen.
Crews launched a quick attack and had the fire in the kitchen out quickly, he says.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
Damage to the kitchen area of the house is extensive, but Bell doesn’t think there is any structural damage.
Fire investigators will be at the scene today looking for the cause of blaze.
