Firebug arrested again for arsons in Kamloops

William Aaron Lamb, 23, is accused of intentionally starting a fire that burned a Cadillac Escalade, a Toyota Camry and the downtown Kamloops apartment building they parked underneath.

It was barely a month ago that a 23-year-old man was released from custody for setting a fire in Kamloops. Now he's accused of lighting three downtown fires and is back behind bars.

William Aaron Lamb was arrested on May 21 after allegedly lighting a fire that damaged two vehicles and an apartment building.

Kamloops RCMP said the fire started around 11:40 p.m. It was doused and no one was injured, while Lamb was arrested the next day.

He's facing two charges of breaching court orders and three counts of arson, according to court records.

Last month, Lamb was given a time-served sentence for a fire he set in November at a North Kamloops business. He was convicted of mischief in for that incident as he was after a string of four fires he lit last May.

Lamb told the court he only lit the November fire in an effort to stay warm, which also came just after a release from custody.

He's scheduled to appear in court on May 23 for a bail hearing.
