There was a fire at a motel in Kamloops this morning.
Numerous emergency responders were at the Hospitality Inn on Columbia Street West this morning.
The fire began sometime early this morning in one of the rooms and spread to the front and back of one of the motel’s buildings, according to a city worker at the scene.
The fire caused significant damage to the building and an SUV in the parking lot, but fire crews were able to contain the blaze to the original room.
Kamloops RCMP and Kamloops Fire Rescue were unable to immediately comment on the situation, including whether the fire is suspicious or if anyone was injured.
