Fire destroys Kaleden residence

A residence in the 100 block of Lakehill Road in Kaleden was destroyed by fire last night, Oct. 11, 2018.

PENTICTON - Weary Kaleden firefighters are mopping up this morning after fire destroyed a residence in the community last night.

Fire broke out in a house in the 100 block of Lakehill Road around 10:30 p.m. last night, Oct. 11.

Fire Chief Denis Gaudry says the house was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene.

Two vehicles were also destroyed in the blaze.

Members of the Okanagan Falls Fire Department also attended.

Firefighters were on scene most of the night.

The occupants of the house were treated by emergency health personnel and provided with accommodations in Penticton by Emergency Social Services.

No injuries were reported in the fire, and the cause at this time is undetermined.
