A wildfire is currently burning around three kilometres north of Penticton on the West.
B.C. Wildfire Service is responding along with the Penticton Fire Rescue today, July 25, and the fire is estimated to be two hectares in size.
The fire is clearly visible from the City of Penticton and from Highway 97.
The Mount Nkwala wildfire is currently burning in grass and sage. No structures were threatened at this time.
Two helicopters are currently battling the blaze, along with two wildfire service attack crews.
