LUMBY - No one was injured in a late-night house fire in Lumby.
Lumby and District Fire Department Chief Tony Clayton said more than 20 firefighters responded to the fire in the Whitevale subdivision around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.
“It was fully-engulfed upon our arrival,” Clayton said. “They (the homeowners) were home but everyone got out."
After the bulk of the fire was doused around 2 a.m., a skeleton crew remained on scene overnight to hit the hotspots. Firefighters had cleared the scene by 9 a.m. Sunday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation but is not considered suspicious.
