Fine for squealing tires in Penticton, Alberta man learns

Penticton RCMP impounded an Alberta man's car after he was caught squealing his tires downtown at 3 o'clock Sunday morning, Aug. 6, 2017.

PENTICTON  - An over-exuberant visitor paid a price for some early morning driving antics in Penticton on the weekend.

Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says police witnessed the driver of a 1993
Honda Civic racing downtown streets and squealing his tires on Sunday, Aug. 5, at 3:05 in the morning.

Police pulled over the 28 year old Alberta resident, charging him under the Motor Vehicle Act for driving without consideration.

The driver faces a $196 fine and the vehicle was impounded for seven days for stunting.
