Film production shooting in Kamloops looking for extras

KAMLOOPS - A feature film will be shot in Kamloops this fall and the production company is holding open casting calls for extras in Kamloops, Kelowna and Vernon.

Beautiful Voice will be shot in Kamloops from Oct. 24 to Dec. 2., according to a Thompson-Nicola Film Commission media release.

Open casting calls will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15 in Kelowna at the Holiday Inn Conference Centre at 2429 Highway 97 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., then in Vernon from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fairfield Hotel at 5300 Anderson Way.

The casting people will be in Kamloops at the Sahali Centre Mall on Columbia Street West on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

The production company is looking for men and women of all ages with a Middle Eastern or Mediterranean look, along with people of East Indian, Hispanic, Native and mixed ethnicities, the release says.

At the casting calls people will be photographed and measured. Travel for the production to and from Kamloops will be provided.
