CALGARY - A former star player with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders has made a brief court appearance on alleged domestic dispute charges and is now facing a third criminal charge.

Joffrey Reynolds was arrested July 14 and charged with assault causing bodily harm and breaking and entering with intent against a former girlfriend.

He is now facing a third charge of common assault.

Reynolds was given until Aug. 16 to retain a lawyer and remains free on $3,000 bail along with conditions.

He is also required to report to Canada Immigration Services because his work permit expired in February.

Reynolds played eight years for the Stampeders and was the team's all-time leading rusher but was released from the team last year.
