TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts re-signed slotback Andre Durie to a contract extension Monday.

Details weren't immediately available from the Argos, but Durie took to Twitter early Monday to express his happiness with being under contract with Toronto through the 2016 season.

"Thank you @TorontoArgos for extending me through the 2014-2016 seasons," Durie tweeted. "Truly an honour to continue my career as an Argo #BleedBlue #HomeTeam."

Durie, 32, led the CFL with a career-high 92 catches last season for 986 yards and three touchdowns. The five-foot-10, 199-pound native of Mississauga, Ont., has spent his entire seven-year career with Toronto, helping the Argos win a Grey Cup title in 2012.

Durie, who played running back during his university career at York, has registered 272 catches for 3,150 yards and 13 TDs with Toronto.
