TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts hired Tim Burke as their new defensive co-ordinator.
Burke replaces Chris Jones, who last month was named head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos.
Burke served as head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from August 2012 through the 2013 season before being relieved of those duties.
Ironically, the Bombers hired former Argos special-teams coach Mike O'Shea this week as Burke's successor.
Burke earned Grey Cup rings as the Montreal Alouettes defensive co-ordinator in 2009 and '10.
