OSOYOOS - Early this morning, emergency crews responded to a fatal collision between a motorcycle and car.
At approximately 9:10 a.m. today, July 31, a northbound motorcycle on Highway 97 collided with a car on the north side of Osoyoos, Harold Hallett of the RCMP said in a release.
The motorcycle struck the drivers side of the car as it was leaving a service station. Both the motorcycle rider and the driver of the car were rushed to the hospital with injuries.
The 26-year-old motorcyclist from Penticton later passed away.
The 53-year-old driver of the the car obtained minor injuries.
South Okanagan Traffic Services has taken over this investigation.
