Anyone in an area under evacuation order must leave immediately.
The district is telling people to only take what they can immediately, transport pets in kennels or on leashes, close gates but don’t lock them, turn off electricity sources and unplug appliances.
FortisBC will turn off natural gas service as needed.
There are a total of six evacuation alerts, and four evacuation orders because of the Shetland Creek wildfire.
