Ethel Street between Cawston and Bernard avenues will reopen to motorists Monday, Nov. 28, at 7 a.m.

Ethel Street is a key north/south active transportation route and the new infrastructure is expected to make it more attractive for walking and cycling through the neighbourhood. Improvements include extending the separated “cycle track” on both sides of the road from the first phase completed last year, allowing for an off-road, active transportation connection from Harvey to Cawston avenues.

Other improvements included new sidewalks, trees and landscaping and utilities improvements.

The City of Kelowna appreciates the patience of residents, businesses and motorists while construction is taking place.

Visit the City of Kelowna Projects webpage for more information about this project, future phases and other active transportation corridors.
