Enjoy a movie under the stars, a unique art exhibit or a country fair this weekend

The Gleaners in Oliver are hosting their first annual country fair this weekend, inviting everyone to join them Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

PENTICTON - Sunny fall weather is in the South Okanagan forecast this weekend with lots of activities to get you outside to enjoy it.

The Okanagan Motorcycle Riders Association hosts the 30th annual South Okanagan Toy Run on Sunday, Sept. 17, starting at 9 a.m. at Rotary Park.

The  Penticton Art Gallery presents “The Mystical Arts of Tibet” Friday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Penticton Art Gallery, 199 Marina Way in Penticton. Admission is by donation. For more information, see the Penticton Art Gallery website.

The First Okanagan Annual Gleaners Fair takes place Saturday, Sept. 16 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Okanagan Gleaners, 507 No.3 Road in Oliver. All ages are welcome to the event, which will take place rain or shine. All ages welcome, with kids activities,  a silent auction, plant tours and more. The Penticton Farmer’s and Community Markets take place downtown on Main Street, Saturday, Sept. 16. Both markets start at 8:30 a.m., the Farmer’s Market concluding at 1 p.m., the Community Market at 2 p.m.

Many Hats Theatre Company presents the play “Real Estate,” Friday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Cannery Stage, 1475 Fairview Rd. Showtime starts at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee. Tickets are $19 to $22. For more information, see the Many Hats website.

The Prospera Cinema Under the Stars happens Saturday, Sept. 15 starting at 8 p.m. at Okanagan Lake Park. The family event will screen the 2016 movie Moana on a three storey high big screen. Bring your own blanket or lawn chair.

The “I Love the 90s” tour comes to the South Okanagan Events Centre on Sunday, Sept. 16, starting at 7:30 p.m. The concert includes 90s artists Vanilla Ice, Salt N Peppa, Rob Base, Young MC and C+C Music Factory. For further details see the events centre website.
