A 61-year-old Enderby man has died following a single vehicle collision on Salmon River Road yesterday, Mar. 9.

According to a Vernon North Okanagan media release, the incident happened in the 4000-block of Salmon River Road in Spallumcheen at roughly 5:20 p.m. Mar. 9.

The release says the vehicle left the roadway and crossed a field before overturning and coming to a stop at the bottom of an embankment.

The Enderby man, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The results of this collision certainly are tragic and we offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," Vernon RCMP const. Chris Terleski said in the release.

The fatal crash is the second in a number of weeks that have taken place on a rural Spallumcheen road. On Feb. 27, a 48-year-old Vernon man died following a single-vehicle crash on Corkscrew Road.
