PENTICTON - One of Canada’s top country groups will perform at this year’s Penticton Peach Festival.

Headlining the Aug. 8 performance at Okanagan Lake Park will be Emerson Drive, the Peach Festival announced in a press release issued today, Jan. 24.

Emerson Drive are a staple of the country music community in both Canada and the U.S. where they have been performing for more than a decade.

Emerson Drive has turned out several successful studio albums including “Emerson Drive” in 2002, followed by “What if?” in 2004 and their 2006 release, “Countrified.”

The group’s hits include “Just Got Paid,” “Fall Into Me,” “Last One Standing” and “The Road.”

Emerson Drive has four singles on the Billboard hot 100 in addition to being nominated for 22 Canadian country music awards, winning six times, along with four Juno Awards and a Grammy.

The group was nominated vocal group of the year in 2008 by the Country Music Association and won a grammy for Best Country Performance for their hit “Moments.”

“Emerson Drive has toured with many of the biggest names in country music including Shania Twain, Toby Keith and Big & Rich. We can’t wait to have them on the Peters Bros. Construction stage this summer,” Peach Festival President Don Kendall said in the release.
