Elderly woman struck by pickup in Vernon

A 74-year-old woman was taken to hospital in Vernon with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries Saturday afternoon.

A pickup truck sideswiped two parked vehicles in the 3300 block of 30 Avenue at about 4:20 p.m., Dec. 4, according to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP news release.

The woman was standing close to one of the parked vehicles when she was hit, RCMP said.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, and has not already spoken to police, is asked to call Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file 2021-22889.
