PENTICTON - Penticton firefighters are mopping up at the scene of a house fire this morning.

Penticton Fire Chief Larry Watkinson says crews were dispatched around 3 a.m. today, May 16, to 4003 Finnerty Rd. in Penticton’s south end.

“On arrival we had flames through the roof and confirmed everyone was out of the home,” Watkinson says in a press release.

Watkinson says the fire department attempted entry into the home but were forced back due to issues with the structural integrity of the building.

No one was hurt.

Crews continue to mop up at the scene and hope to begin an investigation into the cause of the blaze this morning.

The residents are in the care of the emergency support services team.
