KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops woman who damaged two other vehicles in a downtown parking lot when she got behind the wheel of a pickup truck last night is facing charges.
Around 11:45 p.m., May 19, a 58-year-old woman was found behind the wheel of a pickup truck which had crashed into a Toyota Echo at a downtown parking lot. The force of the crash pushed the Echo into a nearby Chrysler Intrepid, RCMP say in a release.
When RCMP arrived they found the woman drinking out of a beer can while still behind the wheel of the truck and ‘grossly intoxicated’. She was arrested and taken into custody.
She is expected to appear in court on June 27 and is facing charges of impaired driving and refusing to provide breath samples.
