Drug investigation leads to 10 arrests during RCMP raid in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP arrested ten suspect and seized a quantity of illicit drugs, prohibited devices and stolen property at a residence in the Rutland area following the execution of a search warrant on Feb. 28. 

The warrant for a property in the 400-block of Hein Road was related to an active investigation into suspected drug trafficking in that area.

Kelowna RCMP seized a quantity of drugs including heroin, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, GHB and codeine.

Stolen property including bicycles, a dirt-bike and licence plates were found. In addition, prohibited items such as body armour, a firearm magazine and a switchblade were seized from the property.

Ten people were initially taken into custody during the execution of the search warrant, two of whom had unrelated outstanding warrants for their arrest.
