PENTICTON - A head-on crash on Highway 97 between Penticton and Summerland this morning sent two people to hospital.
Penticton RCMP say two vehicles collided head-on near Trout Creek on Highway 97 shortly before 8 a.m., Dec. 20.
A northbound Honda driven by a 20-year-old woman crossed the centreline of Highway 97 and struck a Mazda driven by a 46-year-old woman, police say. Air bags were deployed in the Mazda and both vehicles ended up on the side of the road.
RCMP say both drivers were transported to hospital after they complained about soreness and back pain.
