A driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Highways 33 and 97 in Kelowna last night that resulted in a three vehicle crash.

The incident happened shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP said a 33-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Prius northbound on Highway 97 when she allegedly ran the red light and was hit by a westbound Chevrolet Cavalier.

The Prius rolled into the front of a semi-trailer truck that was stopped at the light.

No one was injured in the collision and the woman was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a red light.
