December is deadline month for eligible non-profit organizations to apply for the City of Kelowna’s 2017 Arts and Culture Grants. Applications for a General Operating Grant or a Project Grant are due on Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.

In 2016 over $150,000 was provided by the City to promote and support the work of local organizations that help contribute to arts, culture and heritage in the community. These grants are awarded on an annual basis and organizations may apply to more than one grant category.

For 2017, cultural projects can receive a boost in funding through the Canada 150 Incentive Grant – additional funding in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary for projects that reflect one of the City’s Canada 150 themes.

Interested applicants must submit their completed application forms to the Cultural Services office at 105-1014 Glenmore Drive by Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Grant applications will be reviewed by independent committees. Successful grant applicants will be notified Febraury 2017.

Guidelines, instructions and application forms can be found online.
