After a couple of days of relatively low numbers of new COVID-19 cases in the Interior Health region, the trend has quickly reversed.

There were 85 new cases in the last 24 hours in the region, up from 50 yesterday and 39 the day before.

B.C. numbers also show an upward trend with 468 new cases, according to information released by Ministry of Health today, Nov. 18.

There were 173 new cases in the Fraser Health region, 72 on Vancouver Island, 69 in Vancouver Coastal and 68 in Northern Health.

There were nine more deaths, including one in Interior Health, bringing the provincial total to 2,290.

There are 3,345 active cases with 355 people in hospital, 110 of whom are in intensive care.

After holding steady for three days, the rate of vaccinations for those 12 and over with at least one dose edged up to 90.8% while 87% have two doses.
