HALIFAX - The Canadian Curling Trials for the 2026 Milan Olympics will be held at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Curling Canada said Wednesday.
The competition, set for Nov. 22-30, 2025, will determine Canada's men's and women's four-player teams at the Winter Games.
Curling Canada has yet to announce a title sponsor for the event.
Tim Hortons was a longtime sponsor of both the Trials and the Brier, but the restaurant chain did not renew its sponsorship. Montana's was recently named the new title sponsor for the Canadian men's championship.
Also Wednesday, Curling Canada announced that the Canadian Pre-Trials, which will determine the final qualifiers for the Trials, will be held Oct. 21-26, 2025 at the Andrew H. McCain Arena in Wolfville, N.S.
In addition, the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials will be held Dec. 30, 2024-Jan. 4, 2025 at Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool, N.S.
“These three events are among the most important of any Olympic quadrennial in Canada, and Canadian curling athletes focus intensely on them,” Curling Canada interim chief executive officer Danny Lamoureux said in a release.
"Nova Scotia is home to a curling community and a provincial government that made it extremely apparent that these events were important to them and I know the province will do an outstanding job to make these events memorable for everyone.”
Halifax previously hosted the Trials in 2005 while Liverpool hosted the 2021 Pre-Trials. It will be the first time Curling Canada has staged an event in Wolfville.
The Milan Olympics are scheduled for Feb. 6-22, 2026.
