Criminality suspected in Vernon man's sudden disappearance

Police now suspect criminality in the case of a missing Vernon man.

The Vernon RCMP serious crimes unit has taken over the investigation into missing person Blayne Keith Ferguson, 27, who suddenly disappeared on Thursday, Sept. 21.

Ferguson is described as a Caucasian male, 6' tall with a slender build, red hair and hazel eyes.

Ferguson was last seen wearing a red hoodie, camouflage pants and black shoes.

Investigators have released a photos of a vehicle believed to be associated with Ferguson’s disappearance. The vehicle is a 2003 blue four-door Toyota Echo with BC license plate of SJ8 28K.

RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who saw or has information about this vehicle on Sept. 21 or Sept. 22, 2023.

Investigators are specifically looking to speak to anyone who saw this vehicle, or has information about its whereabouts or activity between the afternoon of Sept. 21 and noon on Sept. 22.

Anyone with information in regards to the whereabouts of Ferguson, or the vehicle above is asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171.
