Crews worked overnight to restore power at Big White

It took a crew of linemen 18 hours to repair five broken power poles at Big White.

"Thank you and job well done!" the ski resort posted to Facebook early this morning, Jan. 21. "Hats off and standing ovation."

The polls were damaged as a result of fallen trees.

The resort had to be powered by its backup system in the meantime.
