PENTICTON – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 97 south of Penticton sent one person to hospital and backed up traffic over the noon hour.
The Toyota Rav4 SUV rear-ended a Mazda sedan at about 11:45 a.m., June 6, in the southbound lanes of Highway 97 near the lookout about four kilometres south of Penticton.
One person was taken by B.C. Ambulance to Penticton Regional Hospital with unknown injuries.
Traffic was restricted to single-lane alternating for about an hour.
RCMP are investigating the cause of the crash. No word if any tickets will be handed out or charges laid in connection with the rear-ender.
