While the number of new COVID-19 cases in the Interior Health region has dropped during the past week, there were slight increases in both Kamloops and Penticton.
Both cities had two more cases in the week of April 18 to 24 than the week before, with Kamloops having 46 cases and Penticton recording 30.
The Central Okanagan dropped to 215 new cases from 242, and Vernon dropped to 36 from 41, according to data released yesterday, April 28, by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.

Overall, there were 506 new cases in the Interior Health region's 31 Local Health Areas, down from 522 the week before.
Golden was the hot spot in the health region with 15 new cases, up from three the week before. That gives it the highest rate of new cases in the Interior Health region with more than 20 per 100,000 population.
Arrow Lakes recorded five cases, the first since the end of January.
There were also increases in Salmon Arm to 20 from 13, and Armstrong/Spallumcheen to eight from two.
