COVID-19 exposures at two schools in Kamloops

Two schools in Kamloops had COVID-19 exposures in the first week back to class following the Christmas and New Year's break.

There were potential exposure events at South Kamloops Secondary on Jan. 7 and 8, according to Interior Health.

At Arthur Hatton Elementary, Interior Health said there were exposures on Jan. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Barriere Secondary School was included in Interior Health's list of schools at risk in School District 73 yesterday, with exposures on Jan. 4, 5 and 8.

Five schools from throughout the Interior Health region have been added to to the exposure list since yesterday, including Okanagan Mission Secondary in Kelowna, bringing the total at-risk schools in the region to 15 this month.

Students returned to class from winter break on Jan. 4.
