There was a COVID-19 exposure at the Tournament Capital swimming pool in Kamloops over a week ago, according to Interior Health.

The exposure occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Friday, July 30, and individuals who were visiting at that time are advised to self-monitor for symptoms of the illness and to get tested if they have symptoms, according to an Interior Health media release.

Contract tracing is underway where contact information exists.

"Individuals seeking a test should call their primary care provider (family physician or nurse practitioner) or the closest Interior Health community testing and assessment centre," the release reads.

The health authority encourages everyone to get their first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

To make an appointment, register online by visiting the provincial website here or call 1-833-838-2323. You can also visit a Service BC office listed here, and then book an appointment.
