ENDERBY - The B.C. Coroners Service has identified the man and woman who died in a murder-suicide on the Splatsin First Nation reserve near Enderby.

Don Wayne Ball, 69, and Treena Marie Ball, 46, were found dead in their home in the 3200 block of Spruce Crescent on Nov. 18, according to a B.C. Coroners Service media release.

RCMP have confirmed the couple, who were in a domestic relationship, died in a murder-suicide.

“The couple were located by family members attending the residence to check on their well-being after the male had failed to show up for work,” Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said in a media release.

The police investigation revealed a single firearm was used, and there is no evidence to indicate third party involvement. No arrests are anticipated.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the murder of the woman, and assist the B.C. Coroners Service in the non-criminal death investigation of the man.
