Coroner identifies man who died in crash on 97C

A 62-year-old Peachland man was killed when the pickup truck he was a passenger in left Highway 97C and plunged down an embankment Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014.

PEACHLAND - The B.C. Coroners Service has identified a man who died in a crash on Highway 97A, 35 kilometres west of Westbank Nov. 15.

He was Lawrence William Renaud, 62 of Peachland.

Renaud was a passenger in a pickup truck that was heading east on Highway 97C at 1:45 p.m. when it left the road and rolled down a 30 foot embankment. He was dead at the scene according to the coroner. Road conditions were icy at the time of the crash.

Renaud's family has been notified of his death. The B.C. Coroner's Service and RCMP continue to investigate.
