"Corner Gas: The Movie" will screen in theatres from Dec. 3-7, according to a press release from the film's distributor issued Thursday.

The week of screenings will include appearances by cast members, giveaways and trivia.

After its theatrical unveiling, the 90-minute film will make its network broadcast debut in December on CTV and CTV GO. It will also be featured on the Movie Network and the Comedy Network.

In addition to creator Brent Butt, the film version of the popular sitcom features Gabrielle Miller, Eric Peterson, Fred Ewanuick and Janet Wright.

The Saskatchewan-shot movie finds the town of Dog River in crisis, with residents banding together to try to save it.

The series ran on CTV for 107 episodes from 2004-09.
