FILE PHOTO

Coquitlam RCMP are seeking information about a fire at Hazel Trembath Elementary School.

Police were called to the school at around 3a.m. on Oct. 14. When officers arrived they found the school completely engulfed in flames.

RCMP have deemed the fire ‘suspicious’ and are investigating further.

“We are asking anyone who may have video surveillance in the area of Hazel Trembath Elementary School around the time of the fire, to contact our investigators,” Corporal Alexa Hodgins said in a press release.

“Police are also looking to speak with anyone who may have been in the area between the late evening of October 13, 2023 and the early morning of October 14, 2023.”

The school was empty at the time and there are no reported injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.
