Another five to 10 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the Coquihalla, from Hope to Merritt, today, according to Environment Canada.

"A cool and unstable southwest flow combined with ample moisture will continue to give the Coquihalla Summit occasionally heavy snow early this morning. The snow will taper off to flurries later this morning," the national weather agency said in a snowfall warning issued April 10.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Winter tires are mandatory on passenger vehicles until April 30. As per COVID-19 provincial health orders, travel should be essential only.
