KAMLOOPS - Clouds and showers will give way to clearing skies through the middle of the week in Kamloops, but cooling temperatures may see a chance of snow flurries by Friday.

Environment Canada meteorologist Matt MacDonald says after a rainy but mild weekend, Kamloops will have two more unsettled but warmer than normal days before a cool down begins that could see snow on Kamloops streets by Friday.

Today, Nov. 5, and tomorrow are expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers on both days.

Temperatures of 10 Celsius and 9 C are expected for daytime highs, with Tuesday’s low temperature expected to dip to -2 C.

MacDonald says a clearing trend due to a northwest weather shift will see sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday, but daytime highs dropping to single digits, at 4 C Thursday and a high of only 3 C on Thursday.

It will only reach 3 C on Friday as well, but a new system crossing the region will bring with it a 40 per cent chance of rain or snow to the city as the weekend approaches.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 7 C and lows of -1 C.
