Winds gusting to 60 km/h in Kamloops and 40 km/h in the Okanagan are expected today, May 16, and into the evening.

The Okanagan is facing a 60% chance of showers this afternoon and into the evening. Tuesday should clear, with a mix of sun and cloud but Wednesday is looking showery.

Kamloops should be drier, with only a 40% chance of showers this afternoon, a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow and showers again Wednesday.

Daytime high temperatures are expected to drop from 18 Celsius in the Okanagan today, to 12 C on Wednesday. The normal high for today in Kelowna is 20 C so the pattern of a cooler May continues, although the upcoming Victoria Day long weekend could see more seasonal temperatures.

The normal high for today in Kamloops is 22 C. It’s expected to only reach 18 C today, dropping to a high of 16 C on Wednesday. Kamloops, too, could be moving to more seasonal highs by the long weekend.

The overnight lows are closer to normal for this time of year at around 6 C in the Okanagan and 8 C in Kamloops.
