Cool down expected later this week in Kamloops

The hot weather experienced by Kamloops residents appears to becoming to an end. Cooler temperatures are on the way with a possibility of some rain on Thursday.

The above normal temperatures should prevail for the next couple of days, however, with temperatures forecast to hit 33 Celsius today, Aug. 4, and 34 C tomorrow.

Thursday could see a change with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high dropping to 21 C.

The sun is expected to return on Friday and stick around for the weekend.

Expect lows of 16 C tonight and tomorrow, and a low of 12 C on Thursday.

Friday’s high should reach 25 C under sunny skies with a sun and cloud mix forecast for Saturday and Sunday and highs of 25 C and 26 C respectively.

An overnight low of 12 C is expected Friday, 15 C on Saturday and 14 C on Sunday.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 29 C and lows of 14 C.
